Chairman of Empresaria Group since 2004, Tony Martin first joined the staffing industry in 1985 at Adia, running half its world operations. Martin served as chairman and CEO of Select Appointment Holdings from 1992 to 1999, growing the company from $60 million in annual revenue to over $1.8 billion, with operations in 25 countries and 12 areas of specialty. In 1999, Select was acquired by Dutch staffing giant Vedior, of which Martin was ultimately appointed chairman and CEO. Vedior was sold to Randstad in 2008. Martin is a former chair of the Federation of Recruitment and Employment Services, now known as the Recruitment and Employment Confederation. He received the Staffing Industry Analysts Leadership Award in 2014.
