Roland Gomez is CEO of the French staffing group Proman, which he founded in 1990. The family run company is the fifth-largest staffing firm in France and the largest privately held staffing firm operating in the French market. A rare feature for a top player in the staffing industry, the Gomez family are the sole shareholders of the company. In the last five years, the company achieved an average revenue growth rate between 15% and 20%. Prior to founding Proman, Gomez trained as an industrial steelworker, and later worked as a branch manager for an engineering services firm. Gomez recently passed the baton to his son Roland as managing director.

According to research from SIA, Timing is the sixth largest staffing firm in the Netherlands. She joined the company as a consultant in 1988 and held various management positions, including deputy manager, before being appointed general manager in 2012.

Eckard Gatzke has been CEO of Randstad Germany since 2003. He is responsible for the sales organisation, marketing and communications, and human resources. He is also country general manager for sister companies Tempo-Team, Randstad Professionals, and GULP. Under Gatzke’s leadership, according to research from Staffing Industry Analysts, Randstad Germany has become the largest staffing firm in the country in terms of revenue. Prior to joining Randstad Gatzke distinguished himself as an expert in the restructuring and reorganisation of leading companies in the logistics industry in Germany and Europe. His previous employers include Kuehne & Nagel, TNT, BahnTrans, and Rhenus.

Samuel Tual is chairman of Groupe Actual, the tenth largest staffing firm in France and one of the top privately held staffing firms in the market. Tual co-founded Gérard Tual in 2001 with his father from the merger of their respective staffing firms. In 2014, Samuel Tual was able to secure funding from private equity partners CM-CIC Capital Finance and OuestCroissance in order to pursue the group’s growth strategy in its home market. In 2013 Tual led the acquisition of French firms ObjectifIntérim and Réalis RH.

Ann Swain has been the CEO of the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) since 1999 when it was established as a trade body focusing on technology staffing companies. In 2009, the organisation broadened its offering to provide specialist support and a voice for recruitment firms operating in professional staffing sectors in the UK and Asia. Swain has more than 30 years’ recruitment experience, including time as managing director of Learning Curve and UK sales director at Computer People. Swain is a global commentator on professional recruitment trends and a regular speaker at UK and international recruitment conferences.

Natalia Shuman is SVP and GM Kelly Services Inc.’s EMEA and APAC regions. Shuman also serves as a board member of Kelly’s joint venture, TS Kelly Workforce Solutions, in North Asia. She joined Kelly in 1997 and launched Kelly’s recruitment business in the Moscow market. She relocated to New York in 2000, but moved to Singapore in 2011. She was then appointed COO to start up Kelly’s joint venture operations in China and North Asia and was based in Shanghai for over a year. Shuman was elected a board member of Ciett (the International Confederation of Private Employment Agencies) in May and is based in both Singapore and Switzerland.

Alexis de Bretteville is CEO of Hudson Europe, the largest region in terms of revenue for the Hudson. Prior to joining Hudson in 2013, de Bretteville was with Michael Page for more than 20 years, serving most recently as the managing director of the company’s Americas region and as a member of its global executive board. After spending four years helping to grow the company’s French operations into the market leader, he was managing director of Michael Page Spain, Portugal and South America, and then regional managing director of Central and Northern Europe.

Herwig Muyldermans is the general director of the Belgian staffing association, Federgon. He plays a central role in negotiating with the Belgian government and social partners on behalf of the Belgian staffing industry. In 2014, his perseverance resulted in the removal of one of the last restrictions to temporary agency work in the country: the coalition government announced staffing providers would be able to provide services to the public sector. Before joining the association in 1990, he occupied senior positions at the Belgian association representing the clothing industry.

As SVP, EMEA markets and operations, Manuel Roger is responsible for all sales and operations in the EMEA region at Beeline. He joined Adecco Group in 1998 as an international IT project manager, where he was responsible for front-office solutions, online testing, and e-commerce platforms. In 2002, Roger became an IT international procurement manager and consultant for Adecco Group. Later he created and directed Adecco Group’s global procurement department. Roger served as Adecco Group’s LATAM zone finance director from 2009 to 2011, then became SVP international product management at Beeline to develop Beeline’s product and service offerings outside the US.

Matthew Sanders is CEO of Brookfield Rose, a group of 13 companies, including de Poel. Awards for these firms have included the Great British Entrepreneur Award for Social Enterprise (UK), a listing for five consecutive years on The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For, along with The Sunday Times Profit Track 100 and Top Track 250 recognitions. Sanders began his career working for a number of recruitment companies, including Manpower UK and Corporate Services Group plc (now Impellam).
