In February 2015, Stefano Scabbio was appointed president of Mediterranean Southern Europe Region. Scabbio joined ManpowerGroup in September 2003 as financial director of Italy. In 2006 he was appointed managing director of ManpowerGroup Italy and shortly after he became president. In 2008 he became a member of the EMEA strategic executive team. Then in 2010 with the newly created Southern Europe Region, his role expanded to regional managing director of Italy and Iberia. In 2014 Scabbio become president of Assolavoro, the Italian Association of Private Employment Agencies. Scabbio established LincMagazine, a ManpowerGroup newsletter that focuses on the economy and labour market in Italy and is the author of a variety of books, including Genesis reform: the new labour market.

Luigi Brugnaro is president of Umana Holdings. In 1986, at the age 25, he founded EVERAP, a leading provider of commercial networks. In 1997, he founded Umana, which now has more than 700 employees and 126 branches. Between 2009 and 2013, he was president of Confindustria Venice (Italian employers’ federation). In October 2012, he was elected president of Assolavoro, which represents the staffing industry in Italy. In June 2015, Brugnaro was elected mayor of the city of Venice. He also owns Reyer Venezia, the oldest basketball sports club in Italy.

Nick Cox joined Hays in 1983 working in the accountancy and finance/banking division as a recruitment consultant, progressing to regional director and then UK director. He was appointed managing director, UK & Europe, for Hays Information Technology in 1997. He was promoted to Hays UK board director in 2003, responsible for seven specialisms, including HR, sales and marketing, and contact centres. In 2006, Cox was appointed managing director for the EMEA region, reporting directly to the CEO.

Simon Wassall has been with Harvey Nash for more than 20 years and joined the PLC Board in 2005. As European managing director, he is responsible for the UK and European professional recruitment operations. Prior to joining Harvey Nash, Wassall opened several new operations for Austin Benn, which led to his board appointment to a newly acquired advertising and marketing company.

Regional head of France

Christophe Catoir is Adecco’s regional head of France. He joined Groupe Adecco France as internal auditor in 1995, immediately after his studies at the IESEG School of Management. In 2012, he was appointed managing director for Professional Staffing Groupe Adecco France. Between 1995 and 2005, Catoir held positions as finance manager and regional manager. In 2005, he was appointed head of permanent placement activities in France and became a member of the Groupe Adecco France management team in 2007. In 2009, Catoir was appointed managing director of Adecco South-East France, leading a network of 350 branches and 1,300 employees.

Ged Mason is CEO of Morson, a UK-based technical staffing firm. He joined the company in 1986 and took over as managing director in 1999 from his father, Gerry Mason, with backing from Barclays Private Equity. The company was floated on AIM in 2006 and taken private again in 2012. Morson Group added Vital Human Resources to the fold in 2013. In 2016, Mason received OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) for services to engineering and design in the UK.

Maciej Witucki became president of the management board of Work Service S.A. in January 2016, having been a member of the supervisory board since 2013. He has extensive professional experience in the area of management of international enterprises and public companies. From 2006-2013, he served as president of Orange Polska (formerly TP), and from 2002-2006 he was a member of the management board, and later president of Lukas Bank. Prior to this, he held management roles at Cetelem  and Cetelem Polska. In July 2015, he became a member of the supervisory board of TVN.

Gary Elden has been CEO of SThree since January 2013 after serving as its deputy CEO since May 2012. Before that, Elden was SThree’s chief strategy officer. He has held a number of senior positions, including that of founding managing director of Huxley Associates. As chief strategy officer, he was responsible for the expansion of the group’s international operations and non-ICT disciplines.

RPO and TAPFIN are workforce solutions delivered to clients globally. Donovan’s insights help clients deliver on their business objectives and execute workforce strategies. Under Donovan’s leadership, ManpowerGroup Solutions RPO was named global leader by Everest Research Group for the past four years and has been ranked industry leader by NelsonHall for five consecutive years.

Andrew Hogarth

Andrew Hogarth is CEO of Staffline, supplying up to 35,000 workers every day to more than 1,300 clients. Staffline also provides services to the UK government-funded Welfare to Work and Skills arena. Hogarth has been with the company since 2002. Private equity firm Living Bridge funded the buy-in/management buyout of the firm in 2000 and introduced Hogarth as finance director. Hogarth helped float the firm on AIM in 2004, becoming managing director in 2005 and has been chief executive since 2009. He is a certified neuro-linguistic programming coach.
