Ann Swain has been the chief executive of the Association of Professional Staffing Companies since 1999. The trade body supports the needs of recruitment firms operating in professional staffing sectors in the UK, Asia Pacific and Germany. Swain has more than 20 years’ recruitment experience and is a leading commentator on professional recruitment trends, the co-author of the best-selling Professional Recruiter’s Handbook and speaks frequently at UK and international recruitment conferences. She appears in the 2017 docuseries Top Recruiter 5; North America v. Europe, as chair of the European team. In 2009, she accepted a fellowship from the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children charity in recognition of her outstanding work to support vulnerable children in the UK.

Daniel Augereau is chairman and CEO of Synergie, the sixth-largest staffing firm in France. He trained as a technical blue-collar worker in the aeronautic industry and soon after founded his first staffing firm, Europe Technique Assistance, in 1969. Ten years later, the company merged with another staffing firm, Sidergie, resulting in the launch of the Synergie brand. In 2016, the company reported a double-digit revenue growth rate, spurred by strong performances both in its home market and abroad.

Simon Blockley is the managing director of Guidant Group, a recruitment outsourcing provider division of Impellam. Blockley has 20 years of recruitment outsourcing and managed service expertise, covering MSP and RPO design, planning and implementation.

Blockley joined Guidant in February 2014 as client solutions director and, after achieving considerable success in this role, was recently promoted to managing director. He is responsible for implementing Guidant’s three-year strategy (“Lead, People, Grow”) which sets a framework for the future direction of the business while ensuring an exceptional standard of service for clients, candidates, suppliers and employees.

Since 2012, Kate Donovan has been ManpowerGroup’s global RPO president. In 2014, she was also named senior VP of ManpowerGroup Solutions and TAPFIN. Both companies offer clients global workforce solutions. ManpowerGroup Solutions delivers talent-driven solutions that capitalise on new thinking and new workforce models. Leveraging an in-depth understanding of global workforce trends, Donovan has also developed the workforce solutions expertise in the group to deliver strategies that are aligned with clients’ business strategies as part of the strategic consulting group. More recently, Donovan is spearheading ManpowerGroup’s total talent management offering.

Phil Cooper’s experience includes 20 years in the human capital and workforce management industry spanning markets all over the globe. In his current role as VP, operations, EMEA for Allegis Global Solutions, Cooper is responsible for delivering solutions for global clients that integrate multiple technology partners and suppliers, while also managing programs and client implementations. In May 2017, Cooper led the expansion of AGS operations to Birmingham, England, creating more than 100 new jobs in the city. Cooper is passionate about affecting those around him, whether it’s acting as the company’s EMEA executive sponsor for diversity and inclusion, leading senior leader customer roundtable discussions or helping clients solve their talent acquisition challenges.

Steve Ingham is CEO of PageGroup, one of the largest staffing firms globally. PageGroup has won awards worldwide as a top place to work. It was rewarded for Best Diversity Initiative at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development’s People Management Awards in 2014 and recognised as the Most Socially Engaged Recruiter 2015 by LinkedIn. Ingham joined the company as a consultant in 1987, when it was still known as Michael Page. He was promoted to operating director in 1990 and then to the board as executive director of UK operations in 2001. He became managing director of UK operations in 2005 and was appointed CEO in 2006.

Hitoshi Motohara is head of Recruit Holdings Global Staffing. He joined Japan’s Recruit Group in 1983. After being promoted to president and representative director of Recruit Staffing in 2003, Motohara was consistently engaged in the temporary staffing business of the group. In 2007, Motohara headed the acquisition of Staff Service and was appointed president and representative director. Since 2009, after becoming managing corporate executive officer and board director of Recruit Co. Ltd., Motohara conducted cross-border acquisitions of CSI, Staffmark, Advantage Resourcing, Peoplebank, Chandler Macleod and USG People. Motohara is responsible for the group’s temporary staffing business.

Andrew Hogarth is CEO of Staffline, which supplies up to 35,000 workers daily to more than 1,300 clients. Staffline also provides services to the UK government-funded Welfare to Work and Skills arena. Hogarth has been with the company since 2002. Private equity firm Living Bridge funded the management buyout of the firm in 2000 and introduced Hogarth as finance director. Hogarth helped float the firm on AIM in 2004, became managing director in 2005 and has been chief executive since 2009. He is a certified neuro-linguistic programming coach.

Thibault Lefebvre is CEO of Grafton Recruitment Group, managing operations performance and organisation of the Grafton Recruitment staffing and SpenglerFox executive search brands. He is a senior executive with many years’ experience in the general management of midsize to large organisations in finance and in business operations.

Lefebvre has a strong commitment to entrepreneurship and maximizing profit growth, along with expertise in private equity and executive and nonexecutive board functions. Prior to Grafton Recruitment Group, Lefebvre served for nine years as managing director at Page Group for Russia, Switzerland and Central and Eastern Europe. He previously held key financial roles at Richmond, Gucci, Parisot Group and Valeo.

François Béharel

François Béharel was appointed to Randstad’s executive board in 2013. He is now responsible for France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium & Luxembourg, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, and Uruguay. It started when he joined Vedior in 1999 as a regional manager. Following various promotions, he became CEO of Vedior France in May 2007. Following Vedior’s acquisition by Randstad, he was appointed president and CEO of the newly combined Randstad Groupe France in 2008 and played a key role in the integration of its businesses.
