Leen Geirnaerdt is CFO of Netherlands based Recruit Global Staffing, previously known as USG People until it changed its name on 1 January 2018. Recruit Global Staffing is responsible for managing all of Recruit Group’s staffing activities. Prior to becoming group CFO in 2010, Geirnaerdt held various senior management positions within the group, including that of general manager of USG People Belgium’s shared service centre transactions and support. Geirnaerdt studied economics at the University of Antwerp and then served as audit manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers before serving as corporate controller at Solvus NV until the firm was acquired by USG People.

Bettina Schaller, a board member of the World Employment Confederation, was appointed president of the WEC Europe in December 2017. She also runs the public affairs activities of The Adecco Group, encompassing regulatory and policy issues and the group’s memberships in employers’ associations at the global and European scale. Schaller is also a member of the B20 Employment and Education Task Force; sits on the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development’s Employment, Labour and Social Affairs committee; supports the Global Forum on Migration and Development’s “responsible recruitment” efforts; and acts as company focal point for the Global Apprenticeship Network and the World Economic Forum.

He joined in 1997 as a consultant and was promoted to operations director for the international oil and gas sector in 2001. Since taking the helm in 2005, he has overseen the global expansion of the company, taking advantage of the globalisation in the oil and gas industry. As CEO, Johnson has made sure that the company’s service offering has developed to meet the needs of its growing client base.

CEO of Affinity Workforce, Nicola McQueen has worked in the recruitment industry for more than 20 years, first joining Hays then moving to Capita. By 2010, she was appointed as managing director of Capita Resourcing and significantly grew the business, launching new services internationally and integrating strategic acquisitions to enhance the existing proposition. In 2016, McQueen was appointed as executive director of the Workplace Services division. Last year, McQueen led a management buyout of Capita’s specialist recruitment businesses, forming Affinity Workforce, now one of the largest privately owned public service recruitment specialists in the UK.

Richard Jager is CEO of Randstad Group Germany. He began his career as a consultant with Randstad Netherlands in 1995 and held various leadership roles including CEO of Randstad company Talisman Software. In 2011, Jager was promoted to CEO of Randstad Switzerland and in 2015 became CEO of both Randstad Switzerland and Austria, a position he held until December 2015. Jager became CEO of Randstad Group Germany in September 2017. In addition to his roles in Randstad, Jager has served on the advisory boards for Randstad, Wittenborg University and Nyenrode Business University in Amsterdam.

As president of Asempleo, the association of private employment agencies in Spain, Andreu Cruañas represents Spain in the World Employment Confederation. He is a board member of the Confederation of Employers and Industries of Spain as well as the Spanish Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises. He is also a general council member of the Spanish National Employment System and the Central Executive Committee of the Public Employment Service of Spain. Cruañas was also the Secretary of Labour and Employment and Director General of Employment of the Catalan Government. In 2017, Cruañas teamed up with Eurosocial, a collaboration between the EU and Latin America that focuses on good practices in employment, to improve the quality of employment, especially among youth.

Maciej Witucki became management board president of Work Service SA in January 2016, having been a member of the supervisory board since 2013. He has extensive professional experience in management of international companies having served as president of Polish telecommunications provider Orange Polska between 2006 and 2013. From 2002 to 2006, Witucki was a member of the management board, and later president of Lukas Bank. In 2015, Witucki joined the supervisory board of TVN SA. A graduate of Poznan University of Technology and with postgraduate studies in the field of logistics and industrial engineering in Ecole Centrale Paris in France, Witucki also completed the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD.

Shona McManus is CEO and owner of Osborne. Over her 18 years in the recruitment industry, McManus has successfully led and transformed recruitment businesses in both multinational and indigenous Irish recruitment firms. Since taking the helm of Osborne in April 2013, she guided it through the still-rocky economy to see it emerge in a strong market position. Osborne has more than quadrupled turnover, profits and headcount in the most recent years and has become a certified Great Place to Work. In 2018, Osborne opened two new branches, including its first international office in Toronto. McManus is also president of the Drogheda Chamber of Commerce.

With more than 20 years of recruitment industry experience, Sean Zimdahl is president of Allegis Group’s EMEA operating companies: Aerotek, Aston Carter and TEKsystems. Zimdahl co-founded Aston Carter in 1997 and led a management buy-out in 2007 to Baird Capital Partners Europe; he continued as CEO and the business diversified both by sector and geography. In 2011, the company was acquired by Allegis Group. In 2012, Zimdahl became COO of Allegis Group International, assuming responsibility for integrating the operations across the UK, Europe, Hong Kong and Singapore. In 2013, he became president. In December 2016, Zimdahl oversaw the acquisition of Switzerland-based The Stamford Group. Zimdahl is a past board member of APSCo.

Patrick Tiessen is founder and CEO of Nétive, the largest VMS provider based on Salesforce.com in the Benelux. Founded in 2003, Nétive started with two customers and has grown to more than 200 customers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Finland and the UK. Nétive focuses on creating the best possible cloud software to manage contingent workforces and recruit permanent staff within one single solution. Before Nétive, Tiessen worked as international IT manager at Kelly Services for eight years. In 2010, Nétive acquired Brightbox HR, the first freelancer management system in Europe, and in 2012 it acquired a VMS solution for SAP customers.
