Sergey Salikov joined recruitment company Ancor as a professional consultant in 1994, and in 2008 he became CEO. In 2019, Ancor experienced 27% year-over-year organic growth under Salikov’s leadership, retaining the top position in Russia and all CIS countries. Additionally, Ancor purchased businesses in Thailand, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, with no plans to slow down any time soon. In addition to continued territorial expansion, Salikov’s plans for 2020 include digital transformation and exploring new product niches.

Neil Carberry in 2018 became CEO of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, the professional body representing the UK’s £39 billion recruitment industry. Carberry and his team have played a critical role in getting recruiters access to key government support in the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. Before moving to REC, Carberry was managing director for people and infrastructure at the CBI, where he led the work of the UK’s leading business organisation on employment law and relations, the labour market, education and skills, energy, climate and infrastructure. He is a council member of the conciliation service ACAS and was appointed to the Low Pay Commission in 2014.

Randstad Germany is the country’s leading personnel service provider with 2019 sales volume of nearly €2.1 billion; under Jager’s leadership it has gained market share for two years in a row in a heavy downturn market. Jager takes every opportunity to improve the image of the staffing industry in Germany.

CEO Jack Beaman, along with co-founder Novo Abakare, developed Syft (Indeed Flex) out of a drive to change how temp staffing works by helping to democratise access to both people and work. Since 2015, the on-demand staffing platform has expanded throughout the UK from London, connecting thousands of employers in hospitality, light industrial, facilities management and care sectors with more than 35,000 verified workers on the app. The company in 2017 also launched SyftForce, an SaaS workforce management platform, enabling enterprises to efficiently manage internal and external casuals in one place, maximising productivity and cost-efficiency. In June 2019, Indeed acquired Syft.

Mark Maesen is CEO of Belgium-based Actief Group, a €600 million staffing company active in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and Austria. Maesen in 2020 became CEO of Actief Interim, the group’s brand in Belgium, bringing leadership experience as former CEO of Sara Lee. In 2015, he became CEO of Actief Group. The company has continued to expand and make acquisitions and now employs more than 20,000 temporary workers on a daily basis. Maesen is also closely involved with the Private Art Support Foundation, which collects, preserves and discloses works of art by Belgian artists.
