Agostino Di Miao is general manager of Assolavoro, the Italian National Association for Employment Agencies representing more than 85% of the country’s market. Assolavoro faced a steep challenge this past year with the government’s introduction of the “Dignity Decree,” which would put tens of thousands of jobs at risk due to contract length and renewal limits. Di Miao and his team, along with trade unions, worked tirelessly to prepare and draft the Collective Labour Agreement to minimise this negative impact. Additionally, they promoted a high-impact advertising campaign to change the overall perception of the industry in Italy.
