In 2000, Mark Maesen was appointed CEO of Belgium-based Actief Interim, now the Actief Group, a €700 million staffing company active in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and Austria. During his tenure, the company has continued to expand and make acquisitions, and it now employs more than 20,000 temporary workers on a daily basis in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Austria under the Actief Interim, Actief Werkt!, Actief Personalmanagement and Actief Jobmade brand names. Maesen is also closely involved with the Private Art Support Foundation, which collects, preserves and discloses works of art by Belgian artists.
