Stefano Scabbio is regional president, Southern Europe, and Talent Solutions global brand leader at ManpowerGroup, a role he took on in May 2019. Industry analyst firm ALM named Talent Solutions a global “pacesetter” earlier this year for its data-driven solutions. Scabbio first joined ManpowerGroup in 2003 as financial director of Italy, prior to taking on several executive roles. He also served as president of Assolavoro, the Italian staffing industry association, from November 2014 to December 2017. Prior to ManpowerGroup, he was CFO for Esselungao Group, a large supermarket company.

Appointed Impellam Group CEO in April 2013, Julia Robertson’s career in recruitment spans four decades. Driven by the belief that there has to be a better way, her notable achievements include founding her own recruitment business in 1986, which was sold to the group alongside Tate in 2000, and also serving as chief executive of the Institute of Employment Consultants (now known as the REC), the professional body for the UK recruitment industry. Following a challenging 2020, Robertson led the group to a firm growth trajectory for 2021.

Prior to being promoted to The Adecco Group’s president of talent solutions in January 2021, Sergio Picarelli was responsible for global leadership of Lee Hecht Harrison, Spring Professional and Badenoch & Clark. Picarelli joined Adecco in Italy in 1993 as country director. In 1997, he was appointed chief sales and marketing director, Italy. From 2002 to 2004, Picarelli served as regional head for Central Europe and was thereafter appointed chief operating officer of Adecco Staffing Division Worldwide. From 2005 to 2009, he served as country manager of Adecco Italy and Switzerland (Switzerland until the end of 2008).

As president of EMEA and Asia Pacific and a member of the Cielo global executive team, Seb O’Connell plays a key role in shaping the strategic direction of Cielo, a global RPO leader. Drawn to this industry to work with people, for people, O’Connell’s recent proudest achievement was guiding Cielo and clients through the Covid-19 pandemic. Leading the organisation’s global strategy, O’Connell helped clients tackle the resulting recruitment challenges and ultimately continue to hire and onboard employees virtually. As the Covid-19 situation evolves, O’Connell will continue to assist Cielo employees and clients in adjusting to a new normal.

Kelvin Stagg joined PageGroup plc in 2006 and currently serves as its CFO. In 2017, Stagg and his team launched Page Outsourcing to operate in recruitment process outsourcing and as a managed service programme, leveraging the geographic and discipline breadth the Group already enjoys. With significant international, compliance, change management, large teams and systems experience across almost every finance discipline, Stagg plans to leverage the vast advances PageGroup has made in its data usage as a user services platform. Additionally, Stagg is a member of the Professional Business Services Council.

Along with co-founder Novo Abakare, CEO Jack Beaman developed Syft, now Indeed Flex, out of a drive to change how temp staffing works by helping to democratise access to both workers and work. During the past year, Beaman led the move to the remote onboarding of new “Flexers” and kept the no-show rate at 2.6% with no redundancies made. Beaman plans to build on the group’s success in the UK and continue its US expansion; the group has already launched in four US cities. In addition to his role as CEO of Indeed Flex, Beaman became vice president of staffing solutions for Indeed, which acquired Syft, in 2020.

Riccardo Barberis joined ManpowerGroup in 1998 and was appointed as regional president, Northern Europe, in May 2021. Barberis oversees all of ManpowerGroup’s brands and offerings across Northern Europe including Manpower, Experis and Talent Solutions. He reports directly to Chairman and CEO Jonas Prising and is on ManpowerGroup’s executive leadership team. Prior to this role, Barberis was country manager for ManpowerGroup Italy. Barberis, who speaks five languages, has been a board member of Junior Achievement and VP of Assolavoro, the Italian staffing industry association. He also has served as president of ManpowerGroup’s Human Age Institute.

Since 2007, Even Hagelien has been director, staffing industry, for the Norwegian Federation of Service Industries and Retail Trade and has represented Norway at the World Employment Confederation. In 2011, he co-founded the Nordic Network for staffing federations. He is a member of the global board of the WEC and since 2015 has chaired the WEC Economic Affairs Committee. Last year, Hagelien and his Norwegian team launched a campaign to highlight the role of the staffing industry and build an ambassador program to meet politicians, both at national and local levels.

For 15 years, Steve Ingham has served as CEO of PageGroup, a £1.28 billion global business with operations in 37 countries. Ingham has been instrumental in creating Page’s vision, values and purpose during his 34 years with the company. In 2019, Ingham became a wheelchair user after a near-fatal skiing accident. Ingham has always pushed a DE&I agenda at PageGroup and is now particularly focused on raising the profile of disability in the workplace. PageGroup was awarded the Clear Assured Gold Standard as evidence of wholly integrating DE&I into everything they do. Ingham was recently featured in Forbes, Recruiter, The Financial Times and The Times.
