Oktay Erciyaz was promoted to CEO of the Trenkwalder Group AG in May 2017. In addition to managing the group, he focuses on sales, growth and business development. An MBA, Erciyaz has more than 20 years of executive experience in corporate development. He started his career at Preussag AG and worked for various units and divisions of the Bertelsmann Group, especially at the service group Arvato.
Georg Breucker is the CEO of Persona Service. Headquartered in Lüdenscheid, North Rhine Westphalia, the company is one of the five largest in the German staffing market. The company has a branch network of 185 locations in Germany and Switzerland with its first office outside of Germany opening in Basel in 2002. It was founded in 1967 by Brigitta and Werner Müller and was one of the first staffing agencies to operate in Germany. Persona Service places about 18,000 workers with about 10,000 clients annually, and had a turnover of €662 million in 2012.
With more than 20 years of recruitment industry experience, Sean Zimdahl is president of Allegis Group’s EMEA operating companies: Aerotek, Aston Carter and TEKsystems. Zimdahl co-founded Aston Carter in 1997 and led a management buy-out in 2007 to Baird Capital Partners Europe; he continued as CEO and the business diversified both by sector and geography. In 2011, the company was acquired by Allegis Group. In 2012, Zimdahl became COO of Allegis Group International, assuming responsibility for integrating the operations across the UK, Europe, Hong Kong and Singapore. In 2013, he became president. In December 2016, Zimdahl oversaw the acquisition of Switzerland-based The Stamford Group. Zimdahl is a past board member of APSCo.
Jan Gupta is president of Modis, The Adecco Group’s IT and engineering staffing and solutions division. He assumed the role and joined The Adecco Group’s executive committee in 2019. A German national with an academic background in mechanical engineering and economics, Gupta holds a PhD in mechanical engineering from Aachen University. His career spans more than 20 years in the technology industry, including managing global teams at engineering and technology businesses and most recently as COO and board member of Schunk Group, a German advanced engineering company.
Sebastian Lazay has been president of the Federal Employers’ Association of Staffing Services in Germany since 2017 after serving as vice president since 2011. Lazay is also managing director of the Hamburg-based staffing firm Extra-Personalservice GmbH and has been closely involved with temporary work for more than 20 years. For many years, he also participated in collective bargaining for temporary employment. Lazay is a member of the executive committee of the BGA — the Federal Association of Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services — and has been its vice president of large-scale services since 2015.
Sven Hennige in the past year played a crucial role in building up Robert Half’s managed solutions business as senior managing director of Central Europe and France, working in close collaboration with Protiviti, its global consulting subsidiary. The focus on managed solutions enabled Robert Half to provide the right type of contingent or perm staff for big projects; hence, the company was also able to generate business in new industries and further develop new concepts of collaboration. Hennige is a board member of startup companies involved with AI and technology platforms. He is also engaged in charity activities the company organises internally and actively supports NGOs.
Dominik de Daniel joined the Adecco Group as CFO in 2006, following Adecco’s acquisition of DIS DeutscherIndustrie Service AG. De Daniel was a bank trainee at Deutsche Bank AG before completing vocational studies in banking and business administration at the Bankakademie. Starting in 1993, he worked for Deutsche Bank in Germany in various roles, including stock analyst. De Daniel joined DIS AG in 2000, and was appointed to the executive board in 2001 with responsibility for investor relations, M&A and strategic controlling. He became CFO in 2002.
Henry Schirmer joined Randstad as CFO and member of its executive board in 2018; he is responsible for global finance and accounting, business control, M&A, tax, treasury, business risk & audit, investor relations, procurement and legal. Under Schirmer’s financial leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic, Randstad delivered a strong and market-leading performance for the year 2020, and group revenue surpassed 2019 levels in the second quarter of 2021. Schirmer is also a member of the board of directors of General American Investors. He previously served as CFO of Unilever Europe and CFO of Unilever North America.
Volker Enkerts is the president of the Employers’ Association of Personnel Service Providers, also known as BAP. In 1992, Enkerts was elected as a board member of the German Association of Private Employment, also known as the BZA, and progressed to the president role in 2004. The BZA and the Employers’ Association of Medium-Sized Personnel Services merged to form BAP, of which he was elected president. Enkerts is also a board member of the Confederation of German Employers’ Associations. Furthermore, Enkerts is chairman of the statutory accident insurance institution, VBG, and runs Hamburg-based FLEX-TIME GmbH as owner and managing director.

Having built a strong, sales-focused team, by 2007 Aston Carter had grown its turnover to £80 million. Zimdahl then led an MBO to Baird Capital Partners Europe to facilitate new internal shareholders as well as fuel international growth and client diversification. He continued in his capacity as CEO and the business diversified both by sector and geographically.
