It was founded in 1967 by Brigitta and Werner Müller and was one of the first staffing agencies to operate in Germany. Persona Service places about 18,000 workers with about 10,000 clients annually, and had a turnover of €662 million in 2012.

With more than 20 years of recruitment industry experience, Sean Zimdahl is president of Allegis Group’s EMEA operating companies: Aerotek, Aston Carter and TEKsystems. Zimdahl co-founded Aston Carter in 1997 and led a management buy-out in 2007 to Baird Capital Partners Europe; he continued as CEO and the business diversified both by sector and geography. In 2011, the company was acquired by Allegis Group. In 2012, Zimdahl became COO of Allegis Group International, assuming responsibility for integrating the operations across the UK, Europe, Hong Kong and Singapore. In 2013, he became president. In December 2016, Zimdahl oversaw the acquisition of Switzerland-based The Stamford Group. Zimdahl is a past board member of APSCo.

His career spans more than 20 years in the technology industry, including managing global teams at engineering and technology businesses and most recently as COO and board member of Schunk Group, a German advanced engineering company.

Sebastian Lazay has been president of the Federal Employers’ Association of Staffing Services in Germany since 2017 after serving as vice president since 2011. Lazay is also managing director of the Hamburg-based staffing firm Extra-Personalservice GmbH and has been closely involved with temporary work for more than 20 years. For many years, he also participated in collective bargaining for temporary employment. Lazay is a member of the executive committee of the BGA — the Federal Association of Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services — and has been its vice president of large-scale services since 2015.

Dominik de Daniel joined the Adecco Group as CFO in 2006, following Adecco’s acquisition of DIS DeutscherIndustrie Service AG. De Daniel was a bank trainee at Deutsche Bank AG before completing vocational studies in banking and business administration at the Bankakademie. Starting in 1993, he worked for Deutsche Bank in Germany in various roles, including stock analyst. De Daniel joined DIS AG in 2000, and was appointed to the executive board in 2001 with responsibility for investor relations, M&A and strategic controlling. He became CFO in 2002.

Volker Enkerts is the president of the Employers’ Association of Personnel Service Providers, also known as BAP. In 1992, Enkerts was elected as a board member of the German Association of Private Employment, also known as the BZA, and progressed to the president role in 2004. The BZA and the Employers’ Association of Medium-Sized Personnel Services merged to form BAP, of which he was elected president. Enkerts is also a board member of the Confederation of German Employers’ Associations. Furthermore, Enkerts is chairman of the statutory accident insurance institution, VBG, and runs Hamburg-based FLEX-TIME GmbH as owner and managing director.

Having built a strong, sales-focused team, by 2007 Aston Carter had grown its turnover to £80 million. Zimdahl then led an MBO to Baird Capital Partners Europe to facilitate new internal shareholders as well as fuel international growth and client diversification. He continued in his capacity as CEO and the business diversified both by sector and geographically.
