As regional president, ManpowerGroup France, Alain Roumilhac oversees all business lines in the country, including Manpower, Experis, FuturSkill, Right Management and ManpowerGroup Solutions. France represents the company’s largest single geography in terms of revenue. He first joined the company in May 2011 as managing director of Experis and ManpowerGroup Solutions for Southern Europe and assumed his current role the following year. Roumilhac often serves as a spokesperson in the media and at events such as the World Economic Forum annual meeting Viva Tech, a large technology conference. He is also engaged with Tech for Good, an initiative to build a diverse pipeline of tech talent.

An experienced entrepreneur who has founded five startups, Teppo Paavola joined The Adecco Group as chief digital officer in January 2019; he is also a member of the executive committee. Prior to joining The Adecco Group, he was the chief development officer of Spanish multinational bank BBVA Group. Paavola was previously vice president, head of global business development, M&A and developer relations at PayPal. He is a board member of 3 Step IT and previously served on the boards of Simple Finance, Atom Bank and Propel Venture Partners.

Jilko Andringa was appointed CEO of German staffing firm Brunel International in December 2017. His most recent position prior to Brunel was president, Northern Europe, of ManpowerGroup; he also previously held management positions at Randstad. In addition to his current position, Andringa is also a member of the supervisory board of EW Facility Services. Under his leadership, Brunel is well-positioned to take advantage of post-Covid market momentum with increased demand for specialists and engineering solutions.

Pertemps Network Group Chair Carmen Watson was responsible for the inauguration of the corporate business team that grew turnover to £323 million from £32 million between 1983 and 2000. She joined the board in 1983 and became chair in 2012. In 2018, Watson was named Director of the Year by The Institute of Directors in West Midlands and received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the REC IRP Awards in London. She is a trustee and chair of the Women in Business patrons’ group and a member of the leadership team of Race for Opportunity. In 2020, she received the LadiesFirst Inspirational Woman award.

In December 2020, Sean Zimdahl became the executive chairman of Digital Futures, a London-based technology services company designed to address the need for diversity in the technology sector and increase the digital skills within the wider UK economy. A longtime veteran of the staffing industry, Zimdahl is responsible for Digital Futures’ strategy, finance, legal and governance. Before moving to Digital Futures, he served 10 years at Allegis Group EMEA, first as COO for EMEA in 2011 and then as president in 2013. He joined Allegis with its acquisition of Aston Carter, where he had been CEO since 2007.

As chief digital officer at Randstad nv and a member of the executive board, René Steenvoorden is responsible for Randstad’s digital strategy, including the launch of the Digital Factory, which underpins Randstad’s Tech & Touch strategy by developing digital tools at speed and scale. He is also responsible for IT, marketing and communications globally. Recently, Steenvoorden spearheaded the launch of Randstad Marketing Insights, creating a global data ocean of aggregated data to better support both clients and talent with early insights into labor trends and skill scarcity. Prior to joining Randstad, he served as CIO at Rabobank.

Stefano Scabbio
Stefano Scabbio is regional president, Southern Europe, and Talent Solutions global brand leader at ManpowerGroup, a role he took on in May 2019. Industry analyst firm ALM named Talent Solutions a global “pacesetter” earlier this year for its data-driven solutions. Scabbio first joined ManpowerGroup in 2003 as financial director of Italy, prior to taking on several executive roles. He also served as president of Assolavoro, the Italian staffing industry association, from November 2014 to December 2017. Prior to ManpowerGroup, he was CFO for Esselungao Group, a large supermarket company.

Actual Leader Group, led by President Samuel Tual, is the seventh-largest independent staffing firm in France. The Group offers a set of solutions for employment and skills: temporary work, recruitment, support and training. In 2020, while France’s GDP fell by almost 8% and the staffing industry fell 22.5%, Actual Leader Group limited its drop to turnover of €1.143 million in 2020 from €1.157 million in 2019. Under Tual’s leadership, the company is experiencing a rebound and expects to end the year 2021 above the results of 2019.

As a result of Rika Coppens’ leadership, the House of HR sustained its pre-Covid profitability at 11% EBITDA/sales and entered summer 2021 with its best June ever. As CEO since 2017, Coppens continues to lead the company on its acquisitions path, having completed five acquisitions in the first seven months of 2021. She is also a member and chair of the staffing board at Federgon, the Belgian federation of HR service providers; and a board member of Colruyt Group, Euronext BV, La Lorraine Bakery Group and Jobroad iVZW.
