Sebastian Lazay is president of the Federal Employers’ Association of Staffing Services (BAP). He was elected unanimously by the board last year. Lazay is managing director of Extra-Personalservice GmbH, Hamburg, and has been closely involved with temporary work for more than 20 years. He has been VP of the BAP since 2011. He is also deputy negotiator of the tariff commission of the BAP and a member of the Bargaining Association (VGZ), participating in collective bargaining for temporary employment. Lazay serves on the executive committee of the BGA, the Federal Association of Wholesale, Foreign Trade, Services, and since 2015 he has been VP of large-scale services for the BGA.

AS CFO, he leads group finance and accounting, business control, M&A, tax, treasury, business risk and audit, legal, and investor relations. He previously worked with Unilever, most recently as executive VP, finance, for Unilever Europe. From 2012 to 2016, Schirmer led the finance function for Unilever North America. Before that, from 2008 to 2012, he was VP of finance for Unilever Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He was previously a board member of the Results for Development Institute.

Martin Jäger has recently taken charge of Trenkwalder’s Central and Eastern European regions in addition to his responsibilities as board member and CEO-elect. Jäger joined the group as chief sales officer and member of the executive board in August 2011, before which he was managing partner at a Droege & Company, the business consultancy. Jäger graduated from the University of Konstanz as an economist.

Prior positions include CFO at both Unilever Europe and Unilever North America. Schirmer is a member of the board of directors of General American Investors and the nonprofit organization Results for Development.

Volker Enkerts is the president of the Employers’ Association of Personnel Service Providers, also known as BAP. In 1992, Enkerts was elected as a board member of the German Association of Private Employment, also known as the BZA, and progressed to the president role in 2004. The BZA and the Employers’ Association of Medium-Sized Personnel Services merged to form BAP, of which he was elected president. Enkerts is also a board member of the Confederation of German Employers’ Associations. Furthermore, Enkerts is chairman of the statutory accident insurance institution, VBG, and runs Hamburg-based FLEX-TIME GmbH as owner and managing director.

Under Schirmer’s financial leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic, Randstad delivered a strong and market-leading performance for the year 2020, and group revenue surpassed 2019 levels in the second quarter of 2021. Schirmer is also a member of the board of directors of General American Investors. He previously served as CFO of Unilever Europe and CFO of Unilever North America.

Franz-Josef Schürmann serves as the regional head of Germany, Austria, Switzerland (DACH) for Adecco, a position he has held since January 2016. He started his career at Accenture in 1996. As a member of the German and European leadership teams of Accenture, in 2008 he was named global client partner for several DAX 30 companies. From 2010 to 2015, Schürmann was country head of Germany for Infosys Ltd. He is board director at AmCham, the American Chamber of Commerce and for Bitkom, the German IT and Communications Industry association. He is a member of the Senate of Acatech, the national academy of science and engineering.

Stefan Kölbl is chairman of the management board for German firm Dekra SE, which includes Dekra Personnel, a temporary work and training & education division of the company that posted revenue of €390.3 million in 2013. Kölbl joined Dekra in 2000 after working as a management consultant. He took on the chairman role in 2010. In 2003, Kölbl was appointed managing director of the economically ailing DekraAkademie. Within only two years, Kölbl succeeded in turning around what is today’s largest private training service provider in Germany. He was then assigned to Dekra’s automotive services unit in 2006.
