Jacques van den Broek is CEO and chairman of the executive board of Randstad, the second largest staffing firm in the world. He is responsible for Germany, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Singapore & Malaysia, Business Concept Development, Global Client Solutions, HR, Marketing & Communications, and Public Affairs. Van den Broek joined Randstad in 1988 as a branch manager and has held various position at the company throughout his career. He was appointed to the executive board in 2004.

Yvon Drouet is CFO of Synergie, the fifth-largest staffing firm in France and one of the largest staffing firms in Europe. Publicly listed on NYSE Euronext Paris, the company is expanding rapidly outside its home market. Drouet played an instrumental role during the acquisitions of British firms Acorn, Advance Personnel and Concept Staffing. The Acorn subsidiary is at the core of the group’s expansion strategy in the UK and Australia.

Before becoming CEO of Trenkwalder International AG in December 2013, Károly Pataki was chief sales officer of the Trenkwalder group, responsible for Central and Eastern Europe. Prior to Trenkwalder, Pataki was deputy general manager of Dunapack Ltd. and CFO and then CEO of Prinzhorn Holding. Since 2013, he has been a member of the Senate of Economy in Austria. Trenkwalder is the largest staffing provider in Austria as well as market leader in Hungary and in the Black Sea region. The company employs approximately 70,000 employees and recorded a turnover of €1 billion in 2013. Trenkwalder has 300 branches in Central and Eastern Europe.

Herwig Muyldermans is the general director of the Belgian staffing association, Federgon. He plays a central role in negotiating with the Belgian government and social partners on behalf of the Belgian staffing industry. In 2014, his perseverance resulted in the removal of one of the last restrictions to temporary agency work in the country: the coalition government announced staffing providers would be able to provide services to the public sector. Before joining the association in 1990, he occupied senior positions at the Belgian association representing the clothing industry.

Denis Pennel was appointed managing director of Ciett in April 2005. Pennel promotes the interests of the staffing industry before international institutions, such as the European Union (EU), the International Labour Organisation (ILO) the World Bank and theOECD. Prior to his appointment, he served as corporate communications director for Manpower France (1998-2005). He is best known for his advocacy work during the writing phase of the Agency Work Directive as well as his efforts to ensure the optimal transposition of the directive across Europe.

Alain Dehaze was recently named CEO of Adecco. He joined the Adecco Group in 2009 as regional head of Northern Europe and was appointed regional head of France in 2011. From September 2007 until joining Adecco, he was CEO of the Humares. From 2002 to 2005, he was CEO of Solvus, becoming COO of USG People upon USG’s acquisition of Solvus 2005. From 1987 until 2000, Dehaze held a number of senior positions at Henkel and ISS. In 2000, he became managing director of Creyf’s Interim in Belgium (now Start People). Dehaze is VP of the board of the Eurociett, the European Confederation of Private Employment Agencies, and is also on the board of the Ciett, the International Confederation of Private Employment Agencies.

Darryl Green was named ManpowerGroup’s first COO in May 2014 and is responsible for ManpowerGroup’s four regions — Americas, Asia Pacific Middle East, Northern and Southern Europe. He had been president and executive VP, Asia Pacific Middle East and Northern Europe. Green joined the company in 2007 as executive VP, leading the Asia Pacific Region. Green also led the development of ManpowerGroup’s Borderless Talent Solutions. Green previously served as CEO for several mobile/data communications companies, including Tata Teleservices, J-Phone (Vodafone Japan) and Global Crossing Japan. Fluent in English and Japanese, Green is a director of the Japan Staffing Service Association (JASSA).

Kevin Green is chief executive of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), the professional body for the UK’s £26.5 billion recruitment industry. Green joined the REC in 2008, having been HR director at Royal Mail, where he was responsible for all people related issues for the business with its 165,000 employees. The REC is committed to raising recruitment standards and highlighting excellence throughout the industry. It represents 3,506 corporate members and 4,744 individual members within the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP), all of whom must abide by a code of professional practice.

Jan Arie van Barneveld has been CEO of Brunel International since 2000, succeeding Jan Brand who had held the position since founding the company in 1975. He started his career as a senior manager at Coopers & Lybrand, which merged with Price Waterhouse in 1998 to form PwC. Van Barneveld then held successive management positions at companies in Belgium and the Netherlands. His most recent position before moving to Brunel International was Director of Avero Life & Mortgages, which is part of the Achmea Insurance Group.

Enrique Sanchez serves as the regional head of Iberia and South America, a position he has held since October 2009. Sanchez joined Adecco Spain in 1993 as branch manager. In 1995, he became regional manager of the central region. Two years later, he was appointed operations manager, and in 2001 president and general manager of Adecco Spain and Portugal. From 2003 to 2005, Sanchez was General Manager for Spain and Portugal, and was also responsible for the development of the company in Latin America and Eastern Europe. In 2005, he returned to Spain, becoming responsible for Adecco Group Iberia.
