John L. Marshall III has led The Adecco Group’s North America, UK & Ireland, professional staffing region since April 2017. Prior to this, he was the regional head of UK & Ireland from October 2015 to March 2017. Marshall was a practicing attorney with King & Spalding and AT&T before he joined MPS Group in 1998. He joined MPS Group as deputy general counsel with an emphasis on acquisitions and public company reporting. He was promoted to president of Special Counsel in 2001 and named president of Accounting Principals in 2006. Adecco Group named Marshall president of its US finance, office and legal business unit after it acquired MPS Group in 2010.

Under Jean-Marc Brun’s leadership, Groupe Adéquat grew to become one of the largest staffing firms in France. He is chairman of the supervisory board of Groupe Adéquat, which he founded in 1987. The company reported total revenue of €889 million in 2017, up 21% from 2016, and estimates it will reach a turnover of €1 billion for the first time in 2018. Earlier this year, Groupe Adéquat acquired Sigmar in Ireland and Totem in Canada. Groupe Adéquat’s five-year mission is to become one of the top 25 staffing firms in the world, both through organic growth and continued investment in high-potential international brands.

Geraldine King joined the National Recruitment Federation in 2009 and as its chief executive is responsible for running the NRF office and all divisions of the Federation. King led the lobbying effort that resulted in the awarding of the first apprenticeship programme for recruiters on the national academic framework, in partnership with the National College of Ireland. She is also a member of the MBA panel of interviewers for Dublin City University and a recent board member of the Fingal Dublin Chamber of Commerce. In 2018, King was a guest speaker at the World Employment Confederation. Prior to joining NRF, she worked at Grafton Recruitment as a branch manager.

In 2007, Agostino Di Maio became general manager of Assolavoro, the National Association of Staffing Agencies, in Italy. Founded in October 2006 from the merger of the three pre-existing representative agencies, Assolavoro represents the employment agencies that produce about 85% of the total turnover linked to the administration of work and count more than 2,500 branches throughout Italy. Prior to Assolavoro, Di Maio was director of human resources for Alitalia Compagnia Aerea Italiana SpA, a company that provides air transportation services to passengers in Italy and internationally. In 2016, Di Maio contributed to the book Vent’anni e un giorno di riforme del lavoro (20 years and one day of labour reforms).

Richard Herring joined Volt as director of European Staffing Services in 2006. In 2010, he became managing director at Volt Europe Ltd., a division of Volt Information Sciences Inc.; he also serves as its senior VP for EMEA and Asia operations, leading Volt’s staffing and MSP operations in Europe and Southeast Asia. His career in the recruitment industry began in 1988 at Reed Technology, where he ultimately led the IT recruitment business for more than five years. He then moved to The Skills Market, where he was operations director. He has served as an executive board member, Representative Committee chair, and chairman for the Association of Professional Staffing Companies, based in the UK.

Alain Dehaze is CEO of The Adecco Group. After graduating as a commercial engineer at the ICHEC Brussels Management School, Dehaze rose through the ranks at Henkel and ISS. In 2000, he was appointed managing director of Creyf’s Interim in Belgium. Between 2002 and 2009, Dehaze held executive roles at Humares, USG People and Solvus. Dehaze joined The Adecco Group in 2009 as regional head of Northern Europe and was appointed regional head of France in 2011 before becoming CEO in September 2015. Since 2016, Dehaze has been chair of the Global Apprenticeship Network. He is also a member of the ILO Global Commission on the Future of Work; steward of the World Economic Forum System Initiative on Education, Gender and Work; and co-chair of the governors for the WEF’s Professional Services Industry Community. Dehaze was also vice president of the World Employment Confederation Europe.

Neil Carberry was appointed chief executive of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation in June 2018, having been managing director of the Confederation of British Industry, leading the CBI’s work on the labour market, skills, energy and infrastructure. In 1999, Carberry began his career in recruitment working for executive search firm Fraser Watson before earning a post-graduate degree in Human Resources at the London School of Economics and joining the CBI in 2004. He is a member of the council of the conciliation service ACAS and of the Low Pay Commission, where he helps guide pay policy in the UK.

Frank Farrelly is COO and co-founder of Sigmar Recruitment and has served as president of the National Recruitment Federation’s executive committee since 2016. He leads the team that lobbies the government on employment legislation, recruitment matters and GDPR, and was instrumental in helping the Federation secure an Apprenticeship in Recruitment practice on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications in 2018. Farrelly has been a nonexecutive director for The People Group. In 2018, Sigmar Recruitment formed a strategic partnership with Groupe Adéquat, one of the 50 largest global staffing firms in the world, according to SIA. A graduate of UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, he currently sits on the external interview panel for the MBA programme at Dublin City University.

Phillip Ullmann has led the Cordant Group for 22 years in various leadership roles including as CEO and most recently as executive chairman; he now refers to himself as the group’s “chief energiser”. The group ranks in the top 10 of Staffing Industry Analysts’ Largest Staffing Firms in the UK. In 2017, the group announced its new status as a “Social Enterprise” and said it will reinvest most its profits in due course into social programmes across education, employment and healthcare. The group has revenue of £840 million and employs 125,000 workers annually in schools, hospitals, care homes, security and specialist roles such as engineering. Ullmann graduated from the University of Cambridge with an M.A. in engineering.

Enrique Sanchez has been The Adecco Group’s regional head of Iberia and Latin America and a member of its executive committee since October 2009. Sanchez joined The Adecco Group Spain in 1993 as branch manager. In 1995, he became regional manager of the Central Region. Two years later, he was appointed operations manager, and in 2001 president and general manager of Adecco Spain and Portugal. From 2003 to 2005, Sanchez was general manager for Spain and Portugal, and was also responsible for the development of the company in Latin America and Eastern Europe. In 2005, he returned to Spain, assuming responsibility for Adecco Group Iberia.
