In addition to her role as Randstad’s managing director, global public affairs, Annemarie Muntz until September was president of the World Employment Confederation, the voice of the employment industry at the global level. She has dedicated her professional life to broadening the recognition of the positive economic and social role that the HR services industry plays. Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Muntz is particularly proud of this year’s launch of the “Safely Back to Work” initiative, an alliance spearheaded by Randstad NV, The Adecco Group and ManpowerGroup to enable companies and workers to return to work safely.

Richard Jager is CEO of Randstad Group Germany. He began his career as a consultant with Randstad Netherlands in 1995 and held various leadership roles including CEO of Randstad company Talisman Software. In 2011, Jager was promoted to CEO of Randstad Switzerland and in 2015 became CEO of both Randstad Switzerland and Austria, a position he held until December 2015. Jager became CEO of Randstad Group Germany in September 2017. In addition to his roles in Randstad, Jager has served on the advisory boards for Randstad, Wittenborg University and Nyenrode Business University in Amsterdam.

CEO and chair of the executive board since 2014, Jacques van den Broek is responsible for The Randstad Group’s operations in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal and Latin America (Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile and Uruguay). In addition, van den Broek oversees business concept development, HR and public affairs. He joined Randstad in 2004 as a branch manager. Under his leadership, Randstad has made significant progress in realizing its ultimate goal to impact 500 million work lives by 2030. He is also proud of the joint industry alliance spearheaded by Randstad NV, The Adecco Group and ManpowerGroup to enable companies and workers to return to work safely.

Hans Ploos van Amstel joined the Adecco Group as CFO in September 2015. He started his career in finance at Procter & Gamble (P&G) in the Netherlands in 1989. Between 1992 and 2003, he held positions of increasing responsibility in P&G across Saudi Arabia, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland. In 2003, he joined Levi Strauss & Co. in Belgium as VP of finance and operations, Europe, and moved to the USA as global CFO in 2005. In his most recent position, Van Amstel was CFO of COFRA Group, a company active in fashion retail, commercial real estate and private equity, from 2009 to 2013, before acting as co-CEO of C&A Europe for a transition period until 2015.

Annemarie Muntz is president of Ciett, the International Confederation of Private Employment Services, and Eurociett, the European Confederation of Private Employment Agencies. She is an influential lobbyist in the European Union, helping to create a legal environment in which private employment agencies are able to prove their important role in a functioning labour market; she has been tireless in her work on the Agency Work Directive.

Margriet Spijker is founder and managing director of Dutch staffing firm Timing, a part of the ADG services group. According to Staffing Industry Analysts, Timing was the fifth-largest staffing firm in the Netherlands in 2017. Spijker has more than 25 years’ experience in the industry, having joined the company as a consultant in 1988 and holding various management positions, including deputy manager, before being appointed general manager in 2012.

Jacques van den Broek joined Randstad as a branch manager in 1988. Prior to joining Randstad, he held various positions at Vendex KBB. After appointments as regional director in the Netherlands and, subsequently, marketing director Europe, van den Broek joined the executive board in 2004, and was appointed CEO in 2014. He is responsible for Germany, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, India, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. In addition, he is responsible for the group’s IT, business concept development, HR, marketing and communications, and public affairs. Van den Broek studied law at Tilburg University in the Netherlands.

Dinette Koolhaas is Kelly Services’ VP and managing director EMEA. She is also a board member for Kelly’s joint venture with Persol in Asia Pacific and a board member of the World Employment Confederation. Fluent in English, German, Dutch and French, Koolhaas first worked at a logistics consultancy agency in Holland. In 1997, she began her career in staffing with USG People, leading brands Secretary Plus and Unique. She then joined Kelly Services in 2008 as VP and regional general manager for Western Europe. Koolhaas was promoted to VP operations for EMEA in 2013 and to her current role in 2017. She has an MBA from the Business School Netherlands.

Jurriën Koops was appointed director of the Dutch Federation of Employment Agencies (ABU) in 2014, having joined the organisation in 2002. In addition to his work with ABU, Koops is also a board member of the Association of Payroll Companies (VPO) and chairman of the Foundation for Training and Development in the Flexible Staffing Industry (STOOF). Prior to joining ABU, Koops worked as a policy advisor for trade union CNV, which represents the interests of workers in construction, the industrial sector, transportation, food, and services. He was also a senior consultant for business development for Dutch staffing firm Start People, a USG People company.

Patrick Tiessen is founder and CEO of Nétive VMS, the largest VMS provider in the Benelux. Nétive started in 2003 with two customers and has grown to more than 170 customers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Finland and the UK. Nétive focuses on creating the best possible cloud software to manage contingent workforces and recruit permanent staff within one single solution. Before Nétive, Tiessen worked as international IT Manager at Kelly Services for eight years. In 2010, Nétive acquired Brightbox HR, the first freelancer management system in Europe and in 2012 it acquired a VMS Solution for SAP customers.
