Maria Raffaella Caprioglio joined Umana S.p.A. in 1998 and has been its president since 2012. Serving diverse industry services, Umana is Italy’s fifth-largest staffing firm with 145 branches. At the age of 23, Caprioglio joined what was then known as the Industrial Association for the province of Venice, becoming the first woman to hold office within that organisation. Caprioglio is a member of the Italian Industry Association’s General Council, Education Committee and Industrial Relations Committee. Caprioglio backs the growing support for companies increasing trained and contracted individuals yearly. Her goal is to attract more women to STEM industries.
