Neil Carberry became chief executive of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, the professional body for recruitment and staffing in the UK, in 2018. He began his career as a recruiter in 1999 before specialising in industrial relations from 2004. Carberry is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, a council member of ACAS, which promotes positive and productivity-enhancing workplace relations, and a former member of the UK’s Low Pay Commission. He is a board member of the World Employment Confederation and Total People. Additionally, he is a rugby referee and coach and is among the 8,000 fans who own Heart of Midlothian F.C.
