Based in Switzerland, Dinette Koolhaas serves as VP and operations leader, EMEA, for Kelly Services. Koolhaas is also a board member for Kelly’s joint venture, TS Kelly Asia Pacific. Koolhaas joined Kelly Services in 2008 as VP and regional general manager for Western Europe, where she led eight country general managers to deliver on regional and country-specific growth strategies. She was promoted to VP and operations leader for EMEA in 2013. Koolhaas started her career as a consultant at a logistic consultancy agency in Holland before moving to USG People, with whom she remained for more than 12 years. She holds an MBA and is a board member of the World Employment Confederation.

Brian Wilkinson is CEO of UK-based specialist engineering and technology recruitment firm Gattaca, having joined the company in December 2013. Gattaca posted turnover of £616.9 million in 2016. Wilkinson has worked in the recruitment industry for more than 35 years and brings extensive international as well as M&A experience to Gattaca. Wilkinson has been an active proponent of raising standards over that time, serving terms as chairman of both the Federation of Recruitment and Employment Services and the Recruitment and Employment Confederation. In 2015, he was presented with the Lifetime Achievement award by the REC.

Carmen Watson joined Pertemps in 1976 as a secretary and by 1983 progressed to the boardroom as commercial director. From 1983 to 2000, Watson was responsible for the formation of a corporate business team and turnover grew tenfold to £323 million from £32 million. In 2000, Watson was named managing director and then became chairperson in 2012. A long-term supporter of diversity in the workplace, she is one of the foremost speakers on the value of women in the boardroom.

Étienne Colella is CEO of PIXID, a VMS provider headquartered in France, which he founded in 2004. The firm offers an SAAS application compliant with the French regulation for providing and using temporary staff. In 2015, private equity fund Keensight Capital took a majority stake in the company to help it become a leading VMS in the European market. PIXID bought Internet Corp. in January 2017 to start deploying its services to the UK market. Previously, Colella spent 14 years in the IT industry in various senior positions. Colella graduated from ESSEC Business School in Paris.

Kevin Green is CEO of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, the professional body for the UK’s £35.1 billion recruitment industry. Green joined the REC in 2008, having been HR director at Royal Mail Letters division, where he was responsible for all people-related issues for the business with its 165,000 employees. The REC is committed to raising recruitment standards and highlighting excellence throughout the industry. It has more than 3,350 corporate members and 9,600 individual members within the Institute of Recruitment Professionals, all of whom must abide by a code of professional practice.

Bettina Schaller oversees the public affairs activities of The Adecco Group, encompassing regulatory and policy issues and the group’s memberships in employers’ associations at the global and European scale. She is a board member of the World Employment Confederation, VP of WEC Europe and chair of the WEC Europe Public Affairs Committee. She is a member of the B20 Employment and Education Task Force, sits on the OECD Employment, Labour and Social Affairs Committee, supports the GFMD “responsible recruitment” efforts and acts as company focal point for the Global Apprenticeship Network and the World Economic Forum.

As CEO of Airswift, Peter Searle has more than 28 years of experience in recruitment, having held managing director and chief executive positions with the Delphi Group, Ajilon and Adecco UK and Ireland. He is heavily involved in educational initiatives and was asked to appear on the UK Government’s Select Committee for Education in 2013. Searle has won multiple awards including a lifetime achievement award for his services to recruitment. In 2016, Searle became the CEO of the newly formed Airswift — following the merger of Air Energi and Swift Worldwide Resources — which specializes in global workforce solutions for the energy, process and infrastructure industries.

Jacques van den Broek joined Randstad as a branch manager in 1988. Appointments followed as regional director in the Netherlands and, subsequently, as marketing director Randstad Europe. In 2002, he moved to Capac Inhouse Services as managing director, also taking on responsibility for Randstad in Denmark and Switzerland. He was appointed to the executive board in 2004 and as CEO and chairman in 2014. Van den Broek is responsible for Germany, Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore & Malaysia as well as group business concept development, HR, marketing and communications, and public affairs.

His multicountry team works for more than 100 hirers and suppliers on market-leading UK, EU and international flexible workforce — MSP, RPO and VMS — projects, regulation of digital recruitment and online exchanges, tax planning relating to flexible workforces and worker misclassification and coemployment class actions. Barrow has led a campaign to change the regulatory regime affecting online exchanges, and in the last three years has rolled out staffing/MSP deals in 40 countries.
