In April 2017, Federico Vione was appointed regional head of North America, UK and Ireland, Adecco and Pontoon. He had been chief sales and innovation officer from October 2015; and regional head of Italy, Eastern Europe and India from September 2011 to September 2015. Vione originally joined Adecco in 1999 as a branch manager and held several leadership roles until his appointment as country manager of Adecco Italy in 2009. Vione was VP of Assolavoro, the Italian Association of Private Employment Agencies, between 2010 and 2012 and has been a member of the executive committee of Adecco since October 2009.

François Roux has been general manager of the French staffing association, Prism’emploi, since 2001. In this role, he represents the interests of the staffing industry, lobbying government and negotiating with social partners and French institutions. In 2013, Roux led the talks with trade unions that resulted in the creation of a form of indefinite duration contract for temporary agency workers. In 2017, the association will be in the spotlight again as a new labour bill is underway.

As European managing director, he is responsible for the UK and European professional recruitment operations. Prior to joining Harvey Nash, Wassall opened several new operations for Austin Benn, which led to his board appointment to a newly acquired advertising and marketing company. Simon is actively involved in the community and participates in Byte Night: the IT industry’s annual sleep-out in support of Action for Children.

The company entered the Swiss market in 2014 with the acquisition of Max Studer Intérim. In 2016, Leader Interim counted more than 110 branch locations across France, Luxembourg, Portugal and Switzerland.

Daniel Augereau is chairman and CEO of Synergie, the sixth-largest staffing firm in France. He trained as a technical blue-collar worker in the aeronautic industry and soon after founded his first staffing firm, Europe Technique Assistance, in 1969. Ten years later, the company merged with another staffing firm, Sidergie, resulting in the launch of the Synergie brand. In 2016, the company reported a double-digit revenue growth rate, spurred by strong performances both in its home market and abroad.

Jacques van den Broek joined Randstad as a branch manager in 1988. Appointments followed as regional director in the Netherlands and, subsequently, as marketing director Randstad Europe. In 2002, he moved to Capac Inhouse Services as managing director, also taking on responsibility for Randstad in Denmark and Switzerland. He was appointed to the executive board in 2004 and as CEO and chairman in 2014. Van den Broek is responsible for Germany, Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore & Malaysia as well as group business concept development, HR, marketing and communications, and public affairs.

Yvon Drouet is the deputy general manager of Synergie, the sixth-largest staffing firm in France and one of the largest staffing firms in Europe. Publicly listed on NYSE Euronext Paris, the company is expanding rapidly outside its home market. Drouet oversees group finance and investments, and plays a key role in Synergie’s international expansion. Spain, Italy and Belgium have become key markets for the group, accounting collectively for more than 30% of revenue in 2016. The Acorn subsidiary is at the core of the group’s expansion strategy in the UK and Australia. In the first quarter of 2017, international operations represented 50% of Synergie’s revenue.

Sergio Picarelli was appointed regional head of Italy; Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa; and India for Adecco in October 2015. In 1993, Picarelli joined Adecco in Italy, starting as managing director of an Adecco Group Company (Permanent Placement). In 1997, he was appointed chief sales and marketing director, Italy. From 2002 to 2004 Picarelli served as regional head for Central Europe and was thereafter appointed COO of Adecco Staffing Division Worldwide. From 2005 to 2009, he served as country manager of Adecco Italy and Switzerland (Switzerland until the end of 2008). From January 2009 until his appointment as chief sales officer in October 2009, he served as chief international sales officer of the Adecco Group. Picarelli graduated in business administration from Bocconi University, Milan, Italy.

Steve Ingham is CEO of PageGroup, one of the largest staffing firms globally. PageGroup has won awards worldwide as a top place to work. It was rewarded for Best Diversity Initiative at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development’s People Management Awards in 2014 and recognised as the Most Socially Engaged Recruiter 2015 by LinkedIn. Ingham joined the company as a consultant in 1987, when it was still known as Michael Page. He was promoted to operating director in 1990 and then to the board as executive director of UK operations in 2001. He became managing director of UK operations in 2005 and was appointed CEO in 2006.
