Hitoshi Motohara is head of Recruit Holdings Global Staffing. He joined Japan’s Recruit Group in 1983. After being promoted to president and representative director of Recruit Staffing in 2003, Motohara was consistently engaged in the temporary staffing business of the group. In 2007, Motohara headed the acquisition of Staff Service and was appointed president and representative director. Since 2009, after becoming managing corporate executive officer and board director of Recruit Co. Ltd., Motohara conducted cross-border acquisitions of CSI, Staffmark, Advantage Resourcing, Peoplebank, Chandler Macleod and USG People. Motohara is responsible for the group’s temporary staffing business.

Margriet Spijker is general manager of private Dutch staffing firm Timing, a part of the ADG services group. According to research from Staffing Industry Analysts, Timing is the fifth-largest staffing firm in the Netherlands. Spijker has more than 25 years’ experience in the industry, having joined the company as a consultant in 1988 and held various management positions, including deputy manager, before being appointed general manager in 2012.

Ingrid Hofmann is CEO of I.K. Hofmann (also known as Hofmann Personal). Founded in 1985 in Nuremberg, Germany, I.K. Hofmann is one of the largest staffing agencies in Europe and one of the five largest staffing firms in Germany. I.K. Hofmann in 2010 was awarded the Ludwig Erhard Prize, the highest award for business excellence in Germany. I.K. Hofmann holds the Great Place to Work Platin Trust Champion Award and has been honoured 10 times in a row by the Great Place to Work Institute. Hofmann is a board member of the Federal Employment Agency and is an active member of the Employers’ Association of Personnel Service Providers, also known as BAP, and the Confederation of German Employers’ Associations, also known as BDA.

With more than 20 years of recruitment industry experience, Sean Zimdahl is president of Allegis Group’s EMEA operating companies: Aerotek, Aston Carter and TEKsystems. Zimdahl co-founded Aston Carter in 1997 and led a management buy-out in 2007 to Baird Capital Partners Europe; he continued as CEO and the business diversified both by sector and geography. In 2011, the company was acquired by Allegis Group. In 2012, Zimdahl became COO of Allegis Group International, assuming responsibility for integrating the operations across the UK, Europe, Hong Kong and Singapore. In 2013, he became president. In December 2016, Zimdahl oversaw the acquisition of Switzerland-based The Stamford Group. Zimdahl is a past board member of APSCo.

Étienne Colella is CEO of PIXID, a VMS provider headquartered in France, which he founded in 2004. The firm offers an SAAS application compliant with the French regulation for providing and using temporary staff. In 2015, private equity fund Keensight Capital took a majority stake in the company to help it become a leading VMS in the European market. PIXID bought Internet Corp. in January 2017 to start deploying its services to the UK market. Previously, Colella spent 14 years in the IT industry in various senior positions. Colella graduated from ESSEC Business School in Paris.

As president of Pontoon, Mike Wachholz led a team of more than 1,600 employees in more than 40 countries, supporting clients in at least 110 countries. Pontoon, the global HR outsourcing brand for Adecco Group, drives the acquisition of permanent talent and manages contingent and project workforce on behalf of an organization. Wachholz began his career as a securities attorney. He then moved into investment banking, advising growth stage companies in developing business plans, executing growth strategies, and raising capital. Prior to joining Pontoon, Wachholz helped launch and raise initial capital for a mobile workforce software and services company. He served as president and CEO until the sale of the company in 2006. Wachholz was also COO of Beeline until he joined Pontoon in 2012. Wachholz holds a juris doctorate from the University of Florida College of Law.

Herwig Muyldermans is the general director of Federgon, the Belgian staffing association. He plays a central role in negotiating with the Belgian government and its social partners on behalf of the Belgian staffing industry. His perseverance is helping result in the removal of one of the last restrictions to temporary agency work in the country; the federal government announced in 2014 that staffing providers would be able to provide services to the public sector, and the Flemish government echoed the decision in 2016. Before joining the association in 1990, Muyldermans occupied senior positions at the Belgian association representing the clothing industry.

Kevin Green is CEO of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, the professional body for the UK’s £35.1 billion recruitment industry. Green joined the REC in 2008, having been HR director at Royal Mail Letters division, where he was responsible for all people-related issues for the business with its 165,000 employees. The REC is committed to raising recruitment standards and highlighting excellence throughout the industry. It has more than 3,350 corporate members and 9,600 individual members within the Institute of Recruitment Professionals, all of whom must abide by a code of professional practice.

Johnathan Johnson is CEO of Fircroft, which was founded by his father, John Johnson. He joined in 1997 as a consultant and was promoted to operations director for the international oil and gas sector in 2001. Since taking the helm in 2005, he has overseen the global expansion of the company, taking advantage of the globalisation in the oil and gas industry. As CEO, Johnson has made sure that the company’s service offering has developed to meet the needs of its growing client base.

Jan Arie van Barneveld has been CEO of Brunel International since 2000. Van Barneveld started his career as a senior manager at Coopers & Lybrand, which merged with Price Waterhouse in 1998 to form PwC. He then held successive management positions at companies in Belgium and the Netherlands. His most recent position before moving to Brunel International was director of Avero Life & Mortgages, which is part of the Achmea Insurance Group.
