Samuel Tual is president of Groupe Actual, a privately held staffing firm in the French market. In 2001, Tual co-founded the firm with his father, Gérard Tual, from the merger of their respective staffing firms. In 2014, Samuel Tual was able to secure investments from private equity partners CM-CIC Capital Finance and Ouest Croissance in order to pursue the group’s growth strategy in its home market. In 2016, Actual successfully integrated a number of recent acquisitions and grew its revenue by 50%.

Frits Goldschmeding founded Uitzendbureau Amstelveen in 1960, and in 1964 renamed it Randstad. Goldschmeding took Randstad public in 1990, and in 2008, merged it with the Dutch group Vedior. CEO until 1999 and a member of the supervisory board until 2011, Goldschmeding remains the largest shareholder. Goldschmeding has a doctorate from the VU University Amsterdam and was professor at the Centre for Entrepreneurship at Nyenrode Business University. He is founder and supervisory board member of the Goldschmeding Foundation.

Nigel Heap joined Hays UK in 1988 as a trainee consultant. By 1997, he was managing director of Hays Australia, and consequently expanded operations to New Zealand, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia. In 2006, he was appointed managing director of Asia Pacific and has been managing director of the UK and Ireland, and chairman of the Asia Pacific business, since 2012. He has been with Hays for more than 25 years and has successfully led the growth of the Asia-Pacific business. Heap serves as a director of Hays Specialist Recruitment (Australia) Pty Ltd. and the Hays Specialist Recruitment (Australia) Pty Ltd. New Zealand branch.

Samsic RH ranks among the 10 largest staffing firms in France, and as one of the largest privately owned firms in the market. In March 2017, Samsic RH announced the acquisition of two staffing businesses in Spain.

Simon Blockley is the managing director of Guidant Group, a recruitment outsourcing provider division of Impellam. Blockley has 20 years of recruitment outsourcing and managed service expertise, covering MSP and RPO design, planning and implementation.

Blockley joined Guidant in February 2014 as client solutions director and, after achieving considerable success in this role, was recently promoted to managing director. He is responsible for implementing Guidant’s three-year strategy (“Lead, People, Grow”) which sets a framework for the future direction of the business while ensuring an exceptional standard of service for clients, candidates, suppliers and employees.

Kevin Green is CEO of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, the professional body for the UK’s £35.1 billion recruitment industry. Green joined the REC in 2008, having been HR director at Royal Mail Letters division, where he was responsible for all people-related issues for the business with its 165,000 employees. The REC is committed to raising recruitment standards and highlighting excellence throughout the industry. It has more than 3,350 corporate members and 9,600 individual members within the Institute of Recruitment Professionals, all of whom must abide by a code of professional practice.

President

Volker Enkerts is the president of the Employers’ Association of Personnel Service Providers, also known as BAP. In 1992, Enkerts was elected as a board member of the German Association of Private Employment, also known as the BZA, and progressed to the president role in 2004. The BZA and the Employers’ Association of Medium-Sized Personnel Services merged to form BAP, of which he was elected president. Enkerts is also a board member of the Confederation of German Employers’ Associations. Furthermore, Enkerts is chairman of the statutory accident insurance institution, VBG, and runs Hamburg-based FLEX-TIME GmbH as owner and managing director.

Nicola McQueen has worked in the recruitment industry for 19 years, joining Capita as a recruitment consultant in 1999. By 2010, she was appointed as managing director of Capita Resourcing and significantly grew the business, launching new services internationally and integrating strategic acquisitions to enhance the existing proposition.

In 2016, McQueen was appointed as executive director of the Workplace Services division, which includes all HR and recruitment businesses and responsibilities for the Recruiting Partnering Project — Capita’s partnership with the MOD to recruit into the British Army.

Earlier this year, McQueen led a management buyout of Capita’s specialist recruitment businesses, Affinity Workforce, now one of the largest privately owned, public service recruitment specialists in the UK.

CEO of the Impellam Group, Julia Robertson, began her recruitment career in 1979. She founded her own recruitment business, The Agency, in 1986. In 1996, Robertson assumed leadership of Tate, which she sold, alongside The Agency, to Carlisle Staffing Services in 2000. Robertson then held several leadership roles for brands within the Carlisle group, including SRG, Tate and Carlisle Managed Solutions. Following the merger of Carlisle Staffing Services and the Corporate Services Group in 2008, Robertson became divisional CEO of Impellam UK and was appointed group CEO of Impellam Group in 2013. Robertson was chief executive of the Institute of Employment Consultants, which later merged with the Federation of Recruitment and Employment Services to form REC, from 1993 to 1996.

Johnathan Johnson is CEO of Fircroft, which was founded by his father, John Johnson. He joined in 1997 as a consultant and was promoted to operations director for the international oil and gas sector in 2001. Since taking the helm in 2005, he has overseen the global expansion of the company, taking advantage of the globalisation in the oil and gas industry. As CEO, Johnson has made sure that the company’s service offering has developed to meet the needs of its growing client base.
