Ellis and the leadership team are fronting the transformation of the group, raising £50 million of new capital in 2021 and completing a £90 million refinancing of the working capital facilities. The group turned a material loss in 2020 into a profit in 2021 and is now focused on setting out its medium-term growth strategy of organic growth from its position as market leader in the UK and Ireland.

As CEO of Phaidon International, Harry Youtan oversees the strategic direction of its business and brands. Founded in London in 2004, the company has 12 offices across the UK, United States and Asia. Youtan leads 900 employees globally and was responsible for Phaidon’s partnership with Quilvest Private Equity in 2018. He led the business through the pandemic, navigating significant operational changes, the success of which resulted in the company’s dividend recapitalisation. Youtan has also been featured on SIA’s Staffing 100 North America and 40 Under 40 lists.

Bev White is CEO of Harvey Nash Group, a €1.2 billion global technology recruitment, IT solutions and leadership services group with 36 offices across the US, Europe and Asia. Following a degree in computer science, White began her career in technology, holding CIO and IT leadership positions at Schlumberger and NTL (which became Virgin Media). Since 2002, White has combined a passion for technology with a career in recruitment and talent in various leadership roles, most recently as CEO in the UK and Ireland for Gi Group before joining Harvey Nash in February. White believes deeply in the power of people and creating a sustainable culture where people can thrive.

Kevin Barrow is a partner with law firm Osborne Clarke. Since 1990, he has advised staffing companies on all types of legal work, including commercial deals, international joint ventures and M&A. His multi-country team works for more than 100 hirers and suppliers on market-leading UK, EU and international flexible workforce (MSP, RPO and VMS) projects, regulation of digital recruitment and online exchanges, tax planning relating to flexible workforces and worker misclassification and co-employment class actions. Barrow has led a campaign to change the regulatory regime affecting online exchanges, and has rolled out staffing/MSP deals in 40 countries in the last three years.

Last year, she led NHS Professionals’ pandemic resourcing response. The organisation built three national recruitment programmes to support the NHS while also launching a Rapid Response campaign, all of which delivered 20,000 workers to the frontline, supplied 10,000 Clinical Contact Caseworkers for the NHS Test and Trace programme and most recently provided over 17,000 vaccinators to NHS Trusts in England.

Phillip Ullmann has led the Cordant Group for 22 years in various leadership roles including as CEO and most recently as executive chairman; he now refers to himself as the group’s “chief energiser”. The group ranks in the top 10 of Staffing Industry Analysts’ Largest Staffing Firms in the UK. In 2017, the group announced its new status as a “Social Enterprise” and said it will reinvest most its profits in due course into social programmes across education, employment and healthcare. The group has revenue of £840 million and employs 125,000 workers annually in schools, hospitals, care homes, security and specialist roles such as engineering. Ullmann graduated from the University of Cambridge with an M.A. in engineering.

Albert Ellis is CEO of the Harvey Nash Group, which had revenue of nearly £700 million in its most recent fiscal year. Ellis was originally appointed to the board in 2000 as chief financial officer and then CEO in 2005. In 1998 he joined Harvey Nash from Hays plc. Prior to that he worked in the accounting and auditing profession after qualifying as a chartered accountant. He is also on the board of Asia House and is an advisor at London City University’s Cass Business School masters in information leadership course.

Charles-Henri Dumon founded Morgan Philips in 2013. In 2018, the group acquired Hudson Global’s recruitment and talent management activities in Europe (except for the Benelux countries). Dumon also this year announced plans to create a talent management consulting firm, Morgan Philips Hudson Talent Consulting, in the UK, France, Spain and Poland. Prior to founding the Morgan Philips Group, he worked for 27 years with Michael Page, first as a consultant with Michael Page UK before moving up to leadership positions with Michael Page France and Michael Page International, where he was a member of the board of directors. He left Michael Page in 2013 as managing director of Continental Europe and the Americas.
