Rob Zandbergen is CEO of Recruit Global Staffing, headquartered in The Netherlands. Known as USG People until January 2018, Recruit Global Staffing is responsible for managing all Recruit Group’s staffing activities. He became CEO of USG People in 2010 after serving as CFO since Zandbergen was CFO of Belgian staffing group Solvus between 2003 and 2005, when the company was acquired by USG People. Zandbergen is a member of the supervisory board of the Dutch Flower Group and was appointed to the supervisory board of Dutch energy company Eneco Holding in March 2015.

In 2020, Paul Jacquin co-founded Taptrove Ventures, which invests in WorkTech startups, providing solutions to boost productivity, enable a distributed workforce and improve professional journeys. He is also managing partner of the Randstad Innovation Fund, which he co-founded in 2014 to invest in social sourcing, online platforms, mobile solutions, virtual solutions, gamification and big data analytics. It has since invested in 20 companies and deployed close to €50 million. In the past year the fund grew more than 50% in annual recurring revenue and added US-based firms ZapInfo and This is Alice, as well as ValidatedID in Spain to its portfolio.

Simon Blockley is CEO of Guidant Global, the specialist recruitment outsourcing business of UK staffing firm Impellam Group. He joined Guidant in 2014, becoming managing director in 2017. In October 2018, Impellam merged its US and UK talent acquisition and managed solutions businesses — rebranding them as Guidant Global. Following the merger, Blockley became CEO in January 2019, overseeing the brand on a global basis. Guidant Global provides more than 220,000 contingent worker assignments in the field on behalf of 100-plus clients across 80 countries.

As president of Frank Recruitment Group, Zoë Morris oversees the company’s ongoing business and sales operations, employee training and hiring initiatives. Under her leadership, the group swiftly adapted to evolving market conditions by helping more than 6,000 organisations secure new talent in 2021 and placing 12,000 candidates in new roles. Most recently, she oversaw the expansion of the group’s global footprint, with new offices opening in Zurich, Tokyo, Milan, Frankfurt, Montreal and Toronto. Committed to ensuring well-being and equality for her own employees, Morris is also a mentor at Migrant Leaders, a charity that inspires and develops disadvantaged young migrants across the UK.

CEO Roland Gomez runs Proman Group, the sixth-largest player in the European staffing market. Gomez led the group to €3.8 billion in revenue in 2022, representing 31% growth over 2021. Most recently, Gomez led Proman’s acquisition of a clerical and light industrial workforce solutions provider in the US, expanding its presence in that country and bringing the group to more than 1,000 branches worldwide and 100,000 people at work every day in 16 countries.

A chartered accountant and also US-qualified, Paul Venables was appointed group finance director of Hays plc in 2006 and has helped transform the company into a preeminent global specialist recruitment business with operations in 33 countries. He started his career at Deloitte & Touche as senior manager in its US practice. This was followed by a 13-year career at Exel plc, where he held a number of senior finance and operational roles, including deputy group finance director, and he was a member of Exel plc’s executive board and chairman of its acquisitions and project review board.

Ingrid Hofmann is one of Germany’s most successful temporary work entrepreneurs. She is CEO of Hofmann Corp., parent company of global staffing and recruiting agency I.K. Hofmann (also known as Hofmann Personal), which she founded in 1985 in Nuremberg, Germany. Guided by her philosophy that growth occurs by word of mouth, Hofmann Corp. has become one of the largest staffing agencies in Europe with more than 20,000 employees and more than 100 international branches located in the US, England, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. I.K. Hofmann ranks fifth on SIA’s 2018 list of largest staffing firms in Germany.

A USA-qualified chartered accountant, Paul Venables started his career at Deloitte & Touche, where he was a senior manager in its USA practice. This was followed by a 13-year career at Exel plc, where he held a number of senior finance and operational roles, including deputy group finance director, and was a member of the executive board of Exel plc and chairman of its Acquisitions and Project Review Board. Following the acquisition of Exel plc by Deutsche Post, Venables worked in its DHL Logistics division before joining Hays plc. Venables was also senior independent nonexecutive director of Wincanton plc. until July 2015.

Gary Elden, CEO of SThree, was awarded by the queen in 2016 with an Officer for the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in recognition of his services to diversity in business. A year earlier he won the prestigious Black British Business Person of the Year award.

Elden has been CEO of SThree since January 2013, after serving as its deputy CEO since May 2012. Before that, Elden was SThree’s chief strategy officer. He has held a number of senior positions, including that of founding managing director of Huxley Associates. As chief strategy officer, he was responsible for the expansion of the group’s international operations and non-ICT disciplines. Elden joined SThree’s IT recruitment brand, Computer Futures, as a recruitment consultant in 1990.

She continues to grow key parts of the NHS, such as its international offering and non-nursing businesses.
