Ged Mason OBE has been CEO of Morson Group, the UK’s largest engineering staffing firm, since 1999. As one of the most respected names in the industry, Mason has spearheaded the organisation’s success with an entrepreneurial vision, identifying revenue-generating opportunities, driving organic growth and leading strategic acquisitions both in the UK and globally. In recognition for his services to engineering, Mason was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire and received the High Sheriff Special Recognition Award for facilitating specially adapted personal protective equipment for medical staff supporting young people with learning disabilities.

Industry veteran Miles Hunt became the first-ever chairman of Cobalt Recruitment in 2019. Miles also chairs several other companies, including Apsco Global, which represents the professional recruitment sector in Germany, Singapore and Australia as well as the UK. In 2013, he launched private equity investment firm Benula Capital, which has nine investments in the staffing sector, HR consulting firms and providers of recruiting technology. Prior to Benula, Hunt founded UK-based international staffing specialist Empresaria Group in 1996 and led its IPO in 2004 before stepping down as chief executive in 2012.

Nathalie Jaoui is deputy CEO and head of Groupe Crit, a France-based €1.7 billion temporary recruitment provider with 8,200 employees in 12 countries. In 2021, Groupe Crit was featured on Institut Choiseul’s New Conquerors of the Economy, a study honouring 150 companies engaged in conquering their markets. Jaoui has led the group’s external growth strategy in the US market and engaged it in corporate social responsibility. She has also been on the board of directors of Prism’emploi, the French staffing association, and an executive council member of MEDEF.

With turnover of €2.9 billion in 2021, Proman Group CEO Roland Gomez led the group to 20% year-over-year growth. He oversaw the acquisitions of the top three family-owned businesses in the Netherlands, strengthening Proman’s position in Northern Europe; the organisation now represents more than 800 branches and 100,000 people on assignment every day in 16 countries. Expansion is still one of Gomez’s top priorities, as he aims to reach €6 billion in 2025. He joined the family group in 1993 and held several positions before becoming CEO in 2003.

Five years into her role as chief executive, Rika Coppens is realising her goals of growth for House of HR. A human resources service provider that focuses on specialised talent, engineering and consulting for companies across Europe, House of HR added three platforms in the last year: Cohedron (public sector consulting), Solcom (IT consulting) and TMI (healthcare staffing). Coppens is also a nonexecutive board member at Colruyt Group, La Lorraine Bakery Group and Euronext in Belgium. She also oversees the House of HR foundation JobRoad, which helps match disadvantaged people with suitable employers.

With 23 years’ technology recruitment experience, David Gettins has led Impellam Group’s Lorien division as managing director for five years. Lorien provides technology, digital and transformation solutions in the UK, Europe and North America. Gettins spearheaded Lorien’s entry into the DACH market and helped facilitate mergers that have helped make Lorien an internationally recognised brand. Under his leadership, Lorien saw post-Covid gross profit grow by 43.5% in 2021. Over the last 12 months, Lorien’s headcount has also increased by 45% through internal investment — a testament to Gettins’ belief that “people make the difference.”

CEO Geraldine King runs the Employment & Recruitment Federation, which was rebranded from National Recruitment Federation in December 2021. Having joined the federation in 2009, King has continued to facilitate its services and most recently led the expansion of the organisation’s education portfolio with accredited programmes for upskilling recruiters. Regarded as a catalyst for change in recruitment, King introduced the accredited Certificate in Recruitment Practice — the sole degree in the world for recruiters. She is an executive board member at the World Employment Confederation and has been featured on SIA’s Staffing 100 and Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing lists.

Under her leadership, Apsco OutSource members have worked with Apsco UK recruitment members to create guiding principles which outline best practice expectations across the entire talent supply programme and specify ways to continuously improve innovation and collaboration between outsource providers and staffing companies. Forbes aims to continue Apsco OutSource’s growth across central Europe. She is an active member of the Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative.
