Julia Robertson has led £2.26 billion UK-based Impellam Group as CEO since 2013. Robertson founded her own recruitment company in 1986 and later joined Tate as managing director; she subsequently sold both businesses to Carlisle Staffing Services, which merged with corporate Services Group to become Impellam in 2008, at which point she became CEO of Impellam’s UK staffing and managed services businesses. Impellam Group is the largest staffing firm in the UK, according to SIA. Robertson is a past chief executive of the Institute of Employment Consultants (now known as the REC), the professional body for the UK recruitment industry.

Alexandre Pham is president of Mistertemp’ group, a digital staffing provider in France. Under Pham’s leadership, the company registered 1.6 million candidates on its platform and last year launched Mybonus, a fidelity programme designed for rewarding workers. Pham is also closely involved in the company’s partnership with Proxite, an association dedicated to empowering vulnerable young people by providing employment opportunities. As the first staffing agency in France to buy a parcel on Sandbox, a decentralised, community-driven platform in the metaverse, Mistertemp’ group has opened new doors of possibilities to attract, retain and select the right talent.

Agostino Di Maio is general manager of Assolavoro, Italy’s national association for employment agencies. Di Maio ensures Assolavoro maintains high standards of industry excellence by sharing information, facilitating discussion around current issues, offering training and serving as a mediator between legislators, institutions and workers. In response to the Ukrainian crisis, Di Maio formed a partnership between Assolavoro and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, offering training, welfare and support for refugees of all nationalities and the agency workers who host them. Di Maio is a board member of Ebitemp and an executive committee member of the World Employment Confederation – Europe.

Tim Briant joined Impellam Group, a £2.26 billion UK-based staffing firm, in October 2019 as CFO and joined the board in February 2020. A chartered accountant, Briant has nearly 15 years’ recruitment industry experience. Most recently, he was CFO of Airswift and spent more than 10 years with Adecco prior to that, ultimately serving as CFO of Adecco UK and Ireland. He joined Adecco via its 2009 acquisition of Spring Group, where he served as group financial controller and company secretary. Briant played a key role in the acquisition as well as Adecco’s acquisition and integration of Penna plc.

Jan Bengtsson is president and CEO of Swedish staffing firm Pion Group (formerly known as Poolia). He was appointed to his current role following the 2018 merger of Poolia with Uniflex, which he led as CEO. Recently, the group acquired SaaS recruitment platform Workspace Recruit, which Pion offers to its clients so they have a GDPR-compliant system when they recruit without external help. Pion also recently launched a tech consultancy firm, Qrios. Bengtsson plans to grow the company as well as all the people involved including clients, contingent talent and internal employees. Bengtsson is also a board member of the Swedish staffing employer organisation Kompetensföretagen.

Leigh’s other experience includes serving as CEO of SHL, a provider of talent assessment solutions. He is only the second CEO in the history of AMS, succeeding company founder Rosaleen Blair. In the past year, AMS launched its TalentLabs solution aimed at upskilling clients’ technology capabilities. The company also continued its global expansion, opening new offices in Wuhan, China; Barcelona, Spain; and Budapest, Hungary.

She expanded rapidly into Eastern Germany upon the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. That same year, the birth of her daughter led to her commitment to make the worlds of work and family compatible. I.K. Hofmann is the fifth-largest staffing firm in Germany and the 22nd largest in Europe. In 2007, Hofmann was awarded the Federal Order of Merit by then-Federal President Horst Köhler.
