Kevin Green is chief executive of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), the professional body for the U.K.’s £26.5 billion recruitment industry. Green joined the REC in 2008, having been HR director at Royal Mail where he was responsible for all people related issues for the business with its 165,000 employees. The REC is committed to raising recruitment standards and highlighting excellence throughout the industry. It represents 3,506 corporate members and 4,744 individual members within the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP), all of whom must abide by a code of professional practice.

Neil Carberry in 2018 became CEO of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, the professional body representing the UK’s £39 billion recruitment industry. Carberry and his team have played a critical role in getting recruiters access to key government support in the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. Before moving to REC, Carberry was managing director for people and infrastructure at the CBI, where he led the work of the UK’s leading business organisation on employment law and relations, the labour market, education and skills, energy, climate and infrastructure. He is a council member of the conciliation service ACAS and was appointed to the Low Pay Commission in 2014.

James Reed is chairman of Reed Global. Founded in 1960, it now has more than 3,000 employees working in 140 locations worldwide. During the Covid-19 crisis, Reed co-launched the Keep Britain Working campaign to preserve jobs and donated £100,000 to the National Emergencies Trust Covid Appeal, matched by a £100,000 donation from the Reed Foundation made via The Big Give. He joined the company in 1992 after graduating from Harvard Business School. Reed is also a published author and has written The 7 Second CV, Why You? and 101 Interview Questions You’ll Never Fear Again; he also co-authored Put Your Mindset to Work.

Yvette Cleland is the CEO of Cpl Life Sciences, a global life science staffing organisation that rebranded from Clinical Professionals in August. Cpl Life Sciences is part of Cpl Resources plc. Over the past year, Cleland developed forums for chief medical officers, VPs and medical affairs clients in the US and EU. From these forums, Cleland develops thought leadership articles to distribute within the life science industry. Some of Cleland’s proudest accomplishments of the previous year include leading her organisation in fully funding and training more than 60 graduates last year, as well as its fundraising efforts for the Marine Conservation Society.

Neil Carberry was appointed chief executive of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation in June 2018, having been managing director of the Confederation of British Industry, leading the CBI’s work on the labour market, skills, energy and infrastructure. In 1999, Carberry began his career in recruitment working for executive search firm Fraser Watson before earning a post-graduate degree in Human Resources at the London School of Economics and joining the CBI in 2004. He is a member of the council of the conciliation service ACAS and of the Low Pay Commission, where he helps guide pay policy in the UK.

In the first quarter of 2022, despite coming out of an incredibly challenging few years, Sanderson achieved the best quarter it has had in years. Ball attributes this success to the company’s clear strategic objectives, specialised service and the perseverance to deliver exceptional results.

Miles Hunt launched private equity investment firm Benula Capital in 2013; it now has nine investments in the staffing sector including staffing companies, HR consulting firms and providers of recruiting technology. Prior to Benula, Hunt founded UK-based international staffing specialist Empresaria Group in 1996 and led its IPO in 2004 before stepping down as chief executive in 2011. Hunt became the first-ever chairman of Cobalt Recruitment in 2019. He also serves as chairman at Darwin Recruitment, Oasis HR and Australia-based Davidson. Additionally, for the past three years he has been chairman of APSCo Global, which represents staffing in Germany, Singapore and Australia as well as the UK.

She joined the board in 1983 and became chair in 2012. She is a trustee and chair of the Women in Business patrons’ group and a member of the leadership team of Race for Opportunity. In 2020, she received the LadiesFirst Inspirational Woman award.

He was also influential in securing funding from private equity firm 3i Group to support this growth as well as the recent acquisition of Claro Analytics. Sweeney inspires his team to develop meaningful relationships and add value for clients, improving business outcomes for everyone.
