Wessel van Alphen is founder (1986) and owner of the Dutch company IT-Staffing, one of the largest IT specialist firms in the European staffing market. Following the launch in 1978 of his first company providing the services of self-employed IT specialists to clients, van Alphen was involved in the creation of numerous other businesses, ranging from staffing brands to Internet radios. He passed the daily management of the company to his son, Wessel van Alphen Jr., in December 2013.

He joined Adecco Group in 1998 as an international IT project manager, where he was responsible for front-office solutions, online testing and e-commerce platforms. In 2002, Roger became an IT international procurement manager for Adecco Group. In 2014, he became Adecco Group Global procurement director and successfully developed Adecco Group’s global procurement department. Roger served as Adecco Group’s LATAM zone finance director from 2009 to 2011. He then became senior VP international product management at Beeline to expand Beeline’s product and service offerings outside of North America.

Enrique Sanchez serves as the regional head of Adecco Iberia & South America, a position he has held since October 2009. Sanchez joined Adecco Spain in 1993 as branch manager. In 1995, he became regional manager of the Central Region. Two years later, he was appointed operations manager, and in 2001 president and general manager of Adecco Spain and Portugal. From 2003 to 2005, Sanchez was general manager for Spain and Portugal, and was also responsible for the development of the company in Latin America and Eastern Europe. In 2005, he returned to Spain, becoming responsible for Adecco Group Iberia.

Hitoshi Motohara is the senior corporate executive officer of Recruit Holdings Co. Ltd., the largest staffing company in Japan and fifth-largest in the world. Motohara joined Recruit in 1983 as a sales and marketing associate. In 2003, he became CEO of Recruit Staffing and in 2008, became CEO of Staff Services, the No. 1 staffing firm in Japan, following Recruit’s acquisition of the company. He is a past president of Japan Staffing Services Association (JASSA).

She also oversees the public affairs activities of The Adecco Group. Schaller is also a member of the B20 Employment and Education Task Force; sits on the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development’s Employment, Labor and Social Affairs committee; sits as steering group member on the World Economic Forum Center for New Economy and Society; acts as company focal point for the Global Apprenticeship Network; and is the president of the American Swiss Young Leaders Alumni Foundation.

Geraldine King is CEO of the National Recruitment Federation, which establishes and maintains standards and codes of practice for the recruitment industry in Ireland. She has focused on expanding the NRF’s services and has introduced the accredited certificate in recruitment practice to the Irish recruitment industry — the only certificate for recruiters in Ireland. Believing the recruitment industry should be viewed as a profession and have a full academic career path, King has been instrumental in development of the world’s first undergraduate three-year degree apprenticeship programme for recruiters; in partnership with the National College of Ireland, it launched in September 2020.

Nicola McQueen was appointed as CEO of NHS Professionals, the largest temporary staff supplier to the National Health Service, in September 2019. She initially joined NHS Professionals as interim COO in January 2019. She is passionate about workforce business issues, having spent the past 20 years supporting and creating effective staffing strategies across both the private and public sectors. McQueen is also CEO of Doctors Direct, the locum service of NHS Professionals. Most recently, she has led NHS Professionals through the coronavirus pandemic, successfully attracting tens of thousands of healthcare professionals into the NHS.
