He recognised Gattaca had the opportunity to solve the critical talent challenges faced in the converging engineering and technology skills arena. Since joining Gattaca, Freeguard has focused its strategy on developing a value-adding product portfolio, bolstering its customer-aligned go-to-market approach and enhancing its skill-based fulfillment capabilities, while also investing in digitalised and efficient processes.

As CEO Randstad Group the Netherlands, Chris Heutink is responsible for Randstad Group’s operations in the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Japan, China, India, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. He began his career at Randstad as a consultant in the Netherlands in 1991. Various management positions followed until 2004, when he was promoted to managing director of Randstad Poland. After moving back to the Netherlands in 2007, he became director of operations. In 2009, Heutink was appointed managing director of Randstad Netherlands. Heutink was appointed to Randstad’s executive board in 2014.

Ron Icke is chairman of the supervisory boards of Orizon GmbH, the 10th-largest staffing company in Germany, and DPA, a Dutch secondment provider. Icke entered the staffing industry in 1995, when he joined Goudsmit (part of USG People) as CEO. In 2006, he was appointed as CEO and chairman of the Board in USG People, a role he fulfilled until 2009. Icke qualified as a chartered accountant at PwC before becoming CFO of investment company WolterSchaberg, and then Euronext-quoted Goudsmit, where he started to develop his expertise in both acquisitions and temporary staffing.

Patrick Tiessen is founder and CEO of Nétive VMS, the largest VMS provider based on Salesforce.com in the Benelux. Founded in 2003, Nétive started with two customers and has grown to more than 200 customers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Finland and the UK. Nétive focuses on creating the best possible cloud software to manage contingent workforces and recruit permanent staff within one single solution. Before Nétive, Tiessen worked as international IT manager at Kelly Services for eight years. In 2010, Nétive acquired Brightbox HR, the first freelancer management system in Europe, and in 2012 it acquired a VMS solution for SAP customers.

Gary Elden, CEO of SThree, was awarded by the queen in 2016 with an Officer for the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in recognition of his services to diversity in business. A year earlier he won the prestigious Black British Business Person of the Year award.

Elden has been CEO of SThree since January 2013, after serving as its deputy CEO since May 2012. Before that, Elden was SThree’s chief strategy officer. He has held a number of senior positions, including that of founding managing director of Huxley Associates. As chief strategy officer, he was responsible for the expansion of the group’s international operations and non-ICT disciplines. Elden joined SThree’s IT recruitment brand, Computer Futures, as a recruitment consultant in 1990.

She has taken responsibility for managing Kelly’s largest and most complex customer programs across the US, Europe and Asia and led strategic cross-divisional projects with focus on results and value creation for the customer. In 2011, Shuman moved to Singapore to focus on Kelly’s customers and partners in the APAC region. She sits on the boards of Kelly’s recently expanded North Asia joint venture, TS Kelly Asia Pacific as well as Ciett.
